Although technology is becoming all -pervasive, nothing
can replace human creativity and skill. This is especially
true in areas such as fashion, arts, and gems and jewelry.
The STS Group considers the over 1800 employees that
it employs in its factories and offices across the world,
as its real assets, its true strength.
Small, but highly experienced and skilled teams rough
assorters in remote locations of Africa and South America,
examine and purchase rough gemstones, piece by piece,
and ascertain their value in terms of color and grade.
Skilled gemstone artisans in India and Thailand, turn
these ‘rocks’ into breathtaking and everlasting
gems. There are cutters, pre-shapers, faceters and polishers
– people who require absolute concentration, loads
of patience and consummate skills developed over years
of training – for the work they do.
Then there are the designers and model makers, people
whose work is the easiest to see and appreciate. These
are people who need in-depth knowledge of the entire
gems and jewelry process not to be hampered by its limitations
and to take advantage of the possibility it offers.
Of course, there are a host of other persons who contribute
in no small way in ensuring that the right product,
reaches the customer at the right price and at the right
time.
All members of the STS group are equal opportunity
employers.
